Window Widgets Acquires Profoil And Forms The Q19 Group

 

The team who acquired Window Widgets in 2019 have announced the formation of the Q19 Group and the acquisition of Profoil Limited, the deal completed on the 13th May 2022.

Profoil, based in Kettering, provides foiling services to the fenestration and building materials markets in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

The Q19 Group, comprises market leading brands: Window Widgets, Residence Collection and now Profoil, with manufacturing facilities in Gloucester and Kettering.

Window Widgets began in 2000 and became the largest range of universal ancillaries for the fenestration market.

Haffner Celebrates FIT 2022 Success – And Signs Up For FIT 2023

 

Haffner is celebrating an outstanding FIT 2022 and has already signed up for FIT 2023. Speaking after the show, Haffner CEO Dave Thomas said: “FIT 2022 was an amazing success. The quality of the footfall was tremendous, with numerous six-figure machinery packages sold directly from the stand from day one. We broke our own record for the amount of new business we secured and we have a large pipeline of potential new business too.”

Haffner’s stand stood out for several reasons. The first was its size – it was the largest stand in the show’s history and was memorably described on FIT TV as ‘less stand, more zone’. It also attracted attention as the home of the world’s first fully seamless window fabrication demonstration thanks to Graf Synergy technology.

With this year’s recent FIT Show now widely acknowledged as an unequivocal success, Pioneer Trading’s managing director, Danny Williams, has also joined in the accolades being heaped on the event by declaring it: ‘The Best FIT Ever!’

Glazing Summit Cocktail Party At FIT Wets Appetites For October Event

 

Excitement is building for this year’s Glazing Summit after its launch event at the FIT Show.

To celebrate the launch of this year’s event, which takes place on Tuesday, October 18, at Edgbaston Stadium and Conference Centre, Glazing Summit organisers Insight Data and Purplex Marketing hosted an exclusive cocktail party at their joint stand.

Visitors, including industry VIPs, Glazing Summit speakers, sponsors and guests enjoyed a selection of special cocktails produced fresh by a team of mixologists, a DJ and an evening of networking.

FIT Show Visitors Hungry For Information Says GGF & Fensa

 

The Glass & Glazing Federation and Fensa have announced a successful FIT Show for both organisations who offered industry peers a bank of information on areas such as recruiting new talent, upskilling, winning new business, and changes to building regulations.

Anda Gregory, chief development officer at the GGF explains: “Visitors to the FIT Show were evidently hungry for more information on many issues. It was clear to see from the number of visitors coming to see us during the show that companies want to apply best practice and do the right thing but are struggling to find all the answers they need. It was great to share our expertise and knowledge on both of our stands, but also at the series of talks we gave throughout the show. The seminars were packed out and were well received by all who attended.

Wendland Delighted With FIT Show Debut

 

Lantern and conservatory roof brand, Wendland, received a tremendous response to its recent FIT Show debut. The company’s stand, which featured the Wendland Lantern as its focus, was busy on each day of the show with visitors all wanting to learn more about the product range and marketing support.

Explaining further, Wendland brand manager, Chloe McGrath, said: “Although Wendland has been established since 1995, we have always been a bit of a ‘well-kept secret’. Edgetech Celebrates 15 Years Of UK Manufacturing

 

Warm-edge spacer specialist Edgetech is marking the 15th anniversary of the opening of its first manufacturing facility in the UK.

In 2007, the company invested £2.5m to create the Coventry site that still serves as Edgetech’s main UK headquarters today – which at the time was Britain’s first ever dedicated warm-edge manufacturing facility.

By 2011, Edgetech’s impressive growth had caught the eye of global building products giant Quanex, who acquired the firm, and together the two businesses have gone from strength to strength in the decade since.

Following an exceptional FIT 2022, ODL Europe has become one of the first companies to sign up to exhibit at the show next year. FIT Show Success Shows Installer Need For Leads

 

Leads 2 Trade’s successful visit to this year’s FIT Show demonstrates that installers are having to work harder for their leads.

That’s the view of Andy Royle, co-founder and managing director of Leads 2 Trade, the provider of double-qualified sales leads to installers in the home improvement sector.

Dekko’s Promising New Apprentice

 

Trade fabricator Dekko Window Systems has recruited a new apprentice in a bid to renew the company’s commitment to upskilling young people and tackling the industry’s skills gap.

Liam Birch joins the company as a digital marketing apprentice, and has been tasked with promoting and maintaining the Dekko brand through online social channels by creating unique content that reflects the business and the premium products and services it provides.

“I’m primarily managing the company’s Swindon Trade Counter Facebook page and Instagram page, and I’m also responsible for finding sales leads on the social channels and referring them on to our sales team on a regular basis,” Liam comments.
