Epwin Window Systems Begins Phased Reopening

 

Epwin Window Systems has announced a phased and controlled reopening of their Telford operation from Monday 4th May, 2020.

The phased reopening will commence with a small team of Customer Service personnel who will be available to discuss customers’ order requirements from 4th May. During that week, the production plant will fire up with a view to reopening the manufacturing facilities from Monday 11th May, 2020.

New Double Glazing App Now Provides Finance Option

 

A new double-glazing smartphone pricing app has just got even more attractive for installers – by now being able to offer a finance option.

Double Glazing App by Virtape allows the consumer to measure and price windows and doors remotely in under 90 seconds meaning there is no reason for a home visit.

And thanks to an agreement the company has secured with specialist home improvement finance provider Shermin Finance, a monthly finance cost can now also be displayed by the approved installer within the app.

A Sweet Weather Test – One Year, 28 Days On…

 

In 2018, Brisant-Secure announced that one of their Sweet door handles had managed to survive in a salt spray chamber for 8,056 hours.

Twelve months on, Brisant put a Sweet letterplate into the same accredited test chamber and waited. And waited. Nolan uPVC Helps NHS Pop-Up COVID-19 Nightingale Hospital

 

One of Wales’ leading fabricators is playing a crucial role in the construction of a temporary NHS Nightingale COVID-19 field hospital in Swansea. Carmarthenshire-based Nolan uPVC has fabricated and installed 14 fire doors for the NHS treatment facility at Bay Studios on the site of the former Ford plant.

Kier is currently working with Swansea Council and local contractor TRJ to transform the 11,000 sq metre film studios and former factory into a Nightingale field hospital with 850 beds.
